If the moon smiled, she would resemble you

Even in the darkest times,

I could see your face

a warm light on the black sky

Nothing could ever replace you,

not a thousand stars,

not a hundred days and nights,

I wouldn't trade you for a shooting star!

No,

I couldn't ever exchange you

After dark, there always comes the light

When the sun shines, I can't see you

That's the time I start missing you

But I know your there, bringing light to others

To kids, to adults, to grandparents,

to little old me.....

Don't mention rain

Then I can't see you at all

Storm is like a desperate call

for someone to hear, to listen to, to understand

Let me tell you the truth

You'r none of those things, you'r both

the moon and the sun

less or more

like spring and fall

the core, from which you came

what you are and what you will become

is a mystery, a great secret

for no one else to know

except for me.
